The Bridgerton series, penned by Julia Quinn, is a captivating saga of romance, intrigue, and societal intricacies set in Regency-era London. Additionally, in the wake of the new Bridgerton show, Quinn released a prequel!

Queen Charlotte (2023)

In 1761, a fateful encounter occurred between King George III and Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, a resilient and intelligent German Princess who defied the British Court’s expectations with her fiery spirit. Their swift marriage concealed the King’s hidden secrets, which had the potential to shake the monarchy to its core. As Charlotte adapted to her royal role, she navigated the complex politics of the court, all the while protecting her heart as she fell in love with a distant King. Her journey encompassed battles for her identity, her husband, and her subjects, ultimately propelling her to embrace her destiny as a Queen who would forever reshape history. I am incredibly excited to read this one, especially in the wake of the new Netflix series!
