Fantasy novels often transport us to magical worlds filled with mythical creatures and enchanting landscapes. It’s no wonder why many women want to feel like they’re part of that world, even if it’s just through their hairstyles. Whether you’re a fan of the classic Game of Thrones or the new hit Fourth Wing, plenty of hairstyles can make you feel like you’re in a fantasy novel. From intricate braids to loose waves, I’ve rounded up some of the best hairstyles to transport you to another world. Outlander (Diana Gabaldon) – Everyone’s Braids and Updos!
Outlander is a historical drama television series based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon. The show follows the story of Claire Randall, a World War II nurse who is transported back in time to 18th-century Scotland. There, she meets and falls in love with Jamie Fraser, a Scottish warrior, and becomes embroiled in the Jacobite rising against the British. Daenerys Targaryen is a character from the popular HBO television series Game of Thrones, which is based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. She is the daughter of King Aerys II Targaryen, who was overthrown in a rebellion led by Robert Baratheon. Daenerys and her brother Viserys were exiled to Essos, where she is married off to Khal Drogo, a powerful Dothraki warlord. Over time, Daenerys becomes a strong and capable leader, freeing slaves and building an army to reclaim the Iron Throne for her family. She is often referred to as “the Mother of Dragons” due to her ability to hatch and control three dragons. Throughout the series, Daenerys faces many challenges and betrayals but ultimately emerges as a powerful and respected ruler. Her braids are intricate, and these hairstyles are not to be attempted by the faint of heart.
Sometimes the real world is, let’s face it, unpleasant. It’s the little things in life that make it worthwhile – like fun hairstyles, for instance.
